Advocacy Groups

I don't support establishment Jewish organizations, not because I'm an anti-Semite (duh) but because they don't advocate for Jewish interests - or when they do, it is to pursue trivial grievances against easy targets.

Gay organizations and women's organizations have exactly the same problem: their mission is to represent the interests of the Leftist establishment - not to combat the truly dangerous, fascist, and illiberal elements in the world.

We can't depend on the mainstream advocacy groups to take a stand against the islamist fanatics who are threatening women, gays, Jews, Christians, and every other group they don't like, closer and closer to our doorstep. It's up to us to act.

Leipzig Riot

A civilized society depends on equality before the law. When the law is enforced arbitrarily; or when the arm of the State is raised only against the weak because the State fears the powerful; or when the protection of the law disappears altogether and gives way to anarchy - then citizens take the law into their own hands. "If the thugs will not fear the law," they reason, "then let them fear us."

National Post (Canada):

During an Anti-Islamic demonstration in Leipzig, Germany, more than 200 extremists broke off from the main group, setting cars ablaze and smashing windows Monday night.

According to the Guardian, many of the rioters were known to police as soccer hooligans. Altogether, police arrested 211 people in the left-wing district of Connewitz.

Police refused to give a crowd estimate at the Leipzig demonstration, organized by the anti-immigrant group PEGIDA, which has ramped up xenophobic rallies following the New Year’s attacks in Cologne. Witnesses said about 2,000 people were on hand for the far-right demonstration as well as the counter-demonstrations, led by Mayor Burkhard Jung. ...

Daily Mail (UK):

Hundreds of anti-refugee rioters have gone on the rampage in the German city of Leipzig after a demonstration where they called for asylum seekers to be deported and their nation's borders closed.

The attacks come just hours after Chancellor Angela Merkel admitted that Europe had lost control of the crisis. The right-wingers broke away from a largely peaceful march in the eastern city to trash the suburb of Connewitz.

Doner kebab fast food stalls were destroyed, cars set ablaze and shop windows smashed by around 250 hooligans of LEGIDA - the local branch of PEGIDA, the anti-migrant, anti-EU organization which marched against the refugees earlier in the evening. ...

Notice that both articles make generous use of such blanket terms as "far-right" and (in the case of the Post) "xenophobic". These are likely the same good folks who will be quick to reprimand us for painting all migrants, or all Muslims, with the same broad brush.

In any case, German authorities responded appropriately to a case of mob violence, with an effectiveness that was little in evidence just twelve days ago. Whether the Polizei will act with similar decisiveness against lawlessness by Muslim migrants in the future remains to be seen.
