This post has nothing to do with Crimea.

We had an interval of sunny weather in Portland today and it would have been a good day to go out for a run, but I decided it was an even better day to stay in and catch up on my studying. The mind needs exercise too.

I've never been to Washington, DC, and I really want to go. Now a couple of my oldest screen pals (since about 10 years ago) are living in the DC area, and it's looking more and more likely that I'll finally pull that trip together in either March or April.

And speaking of 10 years, I can't believe my 10-year LJ anniversary is coming up!

Don't look now, but I'm starting to feel the proverbial creative juices flowing, and there might be some new writing on the horizon.

And speaking of the horizon, the sun is getting low and it'll be time to light the candles soon.

I can see Shabbat from my house!
