I'd been promising myself forever that I'd get down to the range and do some shooting. It's been something like two years since I shot, so I signed up for the Basic Pistol course as a refresher.
It was well worth it. The range is in Hillsboro, and the course is taught by two nerdy engineers who wished the class a happy Pi Day. They went over all types of handguns from the single-action revolver (old type and new type) to the double-action revolver to the semiautomatic handgun. We learned safety rules (obviously), Oregon handgun law, how to clean, and of course how to shoot. And then they took us out to the range.
The instructor said, "I've got no complaints."
