Sketchbook: Serial Monogamist

I'm not super happy with how this one came out, but I am committing to sketching every day, and the big thing that gets in my way is perfectionism. So there it is, maybe five or ten minutes of lines, stop, done. Lather, rinse, repeat.

One thing I noticed about the original photo, that I tried (and, I think, failed) to capture in the sketch, is how the position of the irises/pupils expresses emotion. I don't know if it's clear in this photo, but she is looking down and to her right - without knowing the back-story of the still, I'd say it looks like a very serious moment. Not necessarily sad, but definitely serious.
